Crazy Hair Day

Sept 23, 2011

Crazy hair day at school! Which basically means that it is just another day that you are allowed to spray your hair any color you want. And to some, an excuse not to brush or wash your hair! Ashley does not like to spray her hair but we had fun with three pony tails and lots lots lots of bows! She picked what ones she wanted and I just kept putting them in. Kyle wanted all red so her matched his shirt. He told me later that he was called Elmo all day. And Tyler wanted half red, half blue, and the center line green! We had nothing else to do today so as soon as the boys came home they took showers and have been playing ever sense. We have another busy day tomorrow with football and soccer. We are hoping for another win at football and no rain!

I think Ashley is having fun with her hair. She is loving picking out her bows. She is stuck on the one light pink head band thou. Today she wore her Lala bow and her new Owl clip! Ashley kept asking what her shirt said. When I told her she did not understand it but believed that her shirt said Ashley on it, which made her happy. And we also took pictures with the boys. One with the beaver hat and the other with his sun glasses!

Tyler finally runs!

I am always on Tyler about his inability to run! I am not sure what is wrong with him or he just does not like to run! Running may be a sport we have to work on lol! But today he had to run to get into the pictures. Ashley on the other hand wanted to stand out and not be by her brothers. Of course I changed that and told the boys to move towards Ashley. Because when she is set in her ways she doesn't budge.

The beaver hat

Simple pictures. But the beaver hat is back. Tyler is know just for this hat. I have never seen another hat like this and he loves it. Of course when the weather changes to really cold this hat goes back into hiding. This is probably one of those items that you set aside for when a child gets older. They are growing up so quickly. Hard to believe that Kyle will be 10 next month! Well this is just another beginning of a school day in the Shipe household!

Dance and Open House

As promised Ashley wore her new rainbow colored Tutu to dance tonight. And as a bonus she was able to wear it to open house as well. Unfortunately, she ripped her tights at dance class and I did not bring a change of clothes or new tights to change her into. The open house was nice. I finally was able to talk to Kyle's teacher a little more. I have previously meet Tyler's teacher and am in constant contact with Ashley's teachers. We where unable to go into the gym for the extra activities. Having five teachers to touch base with makes for a long night. But we talked to the last one at exactly eight. We may of closed the open house! I am mostly concerned with Kyle's progress and what extra help he may be receiving. I was happy to find out that he is still getting the extra reading help. I was also happy to receive information to download programs on the computers for both of the boys to do. And I received a Leap Frog ABC DVD for Ashley! I was happy to take some picture's of the boys and Ashley's art work.

I love Ashley's outfit today. A lot of color! She also now likes to wear her bows and a head band! I just got Kyle's shirt as well. I paid $1.00 for it! It is a little big but he saw it and fell in love with it. Tyler needs to work on his smile. He tenses up so much just to smile and make his eyes big. And for some reason Ashley and Tyler both don't like looking at the camera. Tyler confessed to me that he hates pictures and videos, must get that from me!

This was a busy day. As I posted in the post before...Ashley had her soccer! And straight after that it was onto another football game. Kyle is doing so well and Tyler is still to much in the thinking mode and who is supposed to be here and who is supposed to do what. Only two more games and then they will have to decide if they are going to continue their soccer or football seasons! It is a big question for me as well.

What a game. Our boys came out strong and won the game, 27 to 6! Kyle made some great plays. In video #7 Kyle striped the ball and another team player picked it up and caused a turnover. In video #12 Kyle almost tackled the running back. #17 Kyle had the ball but no where to run. And Tyler tackled a running back, but we can't find this video! At least that is who they say they tackled. I don't know much about who is who in football. But I can tell when they just made a good play. Great game and great weather.

Ashley the football game we headed straight to soccer practice. Ashley was able to play on the play ground! I am glad she was able to enjoy this part of the day. #1 and #2
