Daddy is Home

It has been busy here. Saturday March 12 we went to the La Salle Saint Patricks day parade. It was a little chilly but we had a lot of fun. The kids loved catching the candy!

Jamie arrived at O'Hare Airport at 5:11am on Friday March 18. We spend Friday and Saturday at my parents house.

Sunday was a the party for Kyle (9), Tyler (8), and Ashley (5). The party was held at Illinois Valley Gymnastics Academy. It was a lot of fun for all eleven kids! Unfortunately, there of the children guess where unable to attend. Learned that having a party from 12 till 2 has two many 2's in it. LOL We did meet the Mullane's for Dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. JC, Adian, Teagan, Kyle, Tyler, and Ashley seemed to have a wonderful dinner together. Monday was day at home. It was nice to be able to have Jamie home with me and just relax.
Now this brings us to Tuesday. The kids went to school today and will be home tomorrow. We have the spring concert tonight. Videos/Pics to follow! It will be nice to be able to go as a family and for Jamie to see in person a performance. Seeing video of the performances is just not the same as being there. We also accomplished completing our taxes! I am glad to say that is done. Now shopping will begin.

The List

  1. New Tires
  2. Possibly a new camera (Mine decided it wanted to bread right before the St Pat's Concert)
  3. Possibly some programs for my computer (Would like to be able to do the bills upstairs on my new iMac, thanks to my parents)
  4. Pay off bills (So much fun)
  5. Have gas/hotel money for Jamie to be able to drive to CA on 1 April 11
  6. New cell phone for Jamie
  7. Summer clothes for the family
  8. Put rest in savings!
I am sure there is so much more I am missing.
I wanted to thank a new friend of mine, Jamie Weitl. She surprised me with a amazon gift card which will come in very handy for diapers and wipes. But I also wanted to thank Laura Kilmartin for providing the opportunity to lend a helping hand to others. We all need support and help every now and then. And believe me I may need some extras hands this summer. Jamie will be back in CA and I will have three very active kids. I have not got it all worked out as of yet, but I know I do have some help.

I will hopefully be show casing friends after Jamie leaves. That will be after April 1st. I am attempting to spend every second with him and enjoy our time together.

Lets see what tomorrow brings...

AFullCup

One of my favorite web sites for couponing is A Full Cup. I have been a member for a while and it has become a very welcoming place to browse. One of my favorite features are the coupon trains! A coupon train is a group of people from all over the U.S. that love coupons. The goal is to gather coupons from individuals wishlist's and sent them an envie, and in return you will receive one from them. I have been sent multiple coupons in which I love while riding a train.

I was just granted a bling tag of a "FAMOUS AFC-ER"! Which means that I have raised awareness of this website in the media. I was in a local article for coupons and let them know about A Full Cup. I would love for others to join me on this web site, so we could have a online wish list! I already save some coupons for some individuals but would love to expand! I would love to help you save money. The web site is free. But even if you do not join A Full Cup, please let me know what coupons you use. I discard many coupons at the end of the month which could of been used by others.

If you have any questions let me know!

Outside Fun and Dancing!

Day 2:
I am very tired. But feel like I have so much to do to get ready for Jamie to be here. Today was a beautiful day and the boys played outside! The basketball hoop, football, baseball, and bikes where used. Hopefully the nice weather continues for their Dads visit (starting on Friday)!
I believe I am going to start introducing friends that we have meet along the way. Another way to connect and let them know how much we miss them. I have also started pages for each of my three kids.
I have also started my contact page. There are direct links to my FaceBook account and my RSS feed! I am very excited about exploring how a blog functions!
And for a prior post...please let me know what you think about my new hair do! Should I keep it like this (the bangs)! I need ideas.

Lets see what tomorrow brings...

The Start of Something New

This is my first post!

Lets see how long this last?

I would like to keep this blog as an ongoing log in order to keep my friends and family involved our family's life. I have a hard time keeping in touch with people who have become wonderful friends to me and my family. I hope that this blog will enable the continuation of these friendships. Please feel free to bug me if you have not heard from us.

Day 1: Mar 15, 2011

Today is Ashley's 5th B-day! Her daddy is currently in CA, but hopefully we will see him on the 18th! She shared her favorite snack at school today and was very happy to hand them out to her classmates. I picked her up from school and took her to pick out her birthday cake. She picked out a cupcake rainbow with butterflies on it. We where able to Skype with Jamie to as a family sing her happy birthday! I was amazed at how big her smile was. Her presents included a tent, a new ballet dress, and a glove and ball set.
