DAY 21 CHALLENGE

Day 21 - A picture of something you wish you could forget

I will  never forget this time period.  This was Ashley in the hospital on May 17, 2007.  This was after her second heart attack.  Her first one was early May and then she had her second one on Mothers Day.  I so wish that my family did not have to go thru this event and Ashley did not have to feel the pain that she was in.  I have meet some wonderful families and till this day follow them.  But I have also felt the pain of loss.  I have felt a connection to two children whom have passed way before their time.  And I have morned them.  Just thinking of their names brings me to tears.  These two very special children will always be in my heart.  Sweet boy Brody and the princess Harper.

Day 20 CHALLENGE

Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel

A little behind.  But this was an easy one.  I would love to take the kids to DisneyLand in California. I believe they are at great ages to be able to enjoy it.  An added bonus would possibly be able to go there with there Dad.  But unfortunately, this trip or any trip does not fit in a military budget.  They will have to settle with going to the circus this weekend and a visit from there Dad at home hopefully this July.  Maybe the summer will bring some sort of adventure for them even if it is just the local pool and bowling alley.  I would love to just take them and let them have a blast and not have to worry about the cost.  And really we all could use a wonderful vacation.  My kids, nor I, have really been on any type of vacation.  Our extreme is going to Great America or to the Saint Louis Zoo, when we have to travel to Saint Louis for medical visits.  It will be a little harder this summer with out there Dad here to be able to go to an extreme, for us, adventures.  I tend to worry to much about the what ifs and want some one close to each one in the water and holding them down in roller coasters.  I just need to find a way to spilt myself into two possibly three for the time ahead.

Day 19 CHALLENGE

Day 19 - A picture of you when you were little

This one is hard.  I don't have any pictures of me when I was little.  It may be a surprise but I don't live at home any more.  I will have to update this post at a later date to possibly include a picture of me when I was little.   Hopefully I can turn the sad face to a big smiling face of a little me!

Day 18 - A picture from a trip you went on

With the Garigal family at the Skogafoss Waterfalls in Iceland.  It was beautiful.  I could not choose one picture.  This was back on June 17, 2006.

Easter

Spent Easter at Grandma's.  The weather was nice on Easter so we where finally able to have an Easter Egg Hunt, which went much better then the Megga Drop!  Everyone was happy with what the Easter Bunny brought them and the boys made out with candy. Baby Nick, Colleen, Mike, and Dan joined in the fun with the rest of the family.  All in all the day was a success.  Till next year Easter Bunny!  I hope every one had a wonderful Easter.  I have posted videos on youtube!

Time to Color Eggs!

We use the egg spinner every year to color our eggs.  It is really easy and fun.  You can use food coloring!  They are originally $5.00 but will go 50% to 90% off.  I highly recommend them.
