Walgreens and Jewel-Osco

     I used to shop at Walgreens a lot, but ever sense there loss of the gift card program and the inability of the store to keep up with demand, it has become more of a hassle to go.  Basically a disappointment because you can come up with many different ways to make money with you manufacturer coupons, in store sales, in store coupons, and register rewards just to come out empty handed because of the great deal of couponers that raid the store Sunday morning.  I do admit, I used to go Sunday morning, and if it was something wonderful may even be there at midnight!  But I have learned that missing a sale is not the end of it.  It all comes around again.  This morning I decided to go to Walgreens (wags) because I wanted to see if I could make money to use at Jewel-Osco.  If you don't know Jewel-Osco will take unexpired Wags Register Rewards (RR)!  Yet again, it did not turn out how I envisioned but I am happy with my trip.  Here it goes....

2 Hershey Bunnys $2.50 each = $5.00

$2.00 off Coke (Coupon from previous sale that is good till 5/21/11 and can be used over and over)

*** GENERAL RULE...Always hand the cashier Manu coupons then store coupons then RR!  This may generate possible overage on an item and is less hassle for the register (avoid the beep).  And always hand money off coupons before any B1G1 Free coupons, save these for last! ***

I found some $3.00 off Huggies on Coupons.com so I am going back!  Doing the Jewel Roll!!  Always remember if the store does not have the size you need just buy anyways.  Exchange when the size comes in that you need!  Or return with your receipt if no longer needed.  

UPDATE

Just got back and bought two more big boxes!  One is a size 5 and the other is a size 4.  I talked to a manager, Lindsay, she said that they will gladly exchanged sizes of diapers when they come in.  She even said that if we call her she will set them aside!
