Hospital Visits

Jan 12, 2010

Two doctors appointments in one day and of course it also has to be the first day of snow!  Well we made it Peoria with no problems and really with no delays.  And we where able to have our second appointment earlier then scheduled due to cancellations.  So the bad weather actually worked out for us.  She did scream for basically the entire EKG, she does not like the stickers and wire being attached to her and she asks for her Daddy and asks for the wire to get off of her.  The ECHO was a lot better.  I sat with her and we watched Buggs bunny together and we joked that the jelly was strawberry flavored.  The boys where able to go to school and I was able to be home before they where out of school.  Due to the restrictions at the school they where still picked up by a family friend but I meet them at their house.  We stayed for dinner and I was able to have some adult conversation while the kids where able to play with their friends.  It turned out to be a great day.  In the below pictures Ashley is attempting to eat Teddy Grahams.

Ashley diagnosis:
There is very mild mitral valve prolapse (which I was told was common for females)
There is trace mitral regurgitation (blood leakage, which she has always had but has become better)
There is trace tricuspid regurgitation (disorder which cause the leak, value does not close properly)
Left and Right ventricle has normal function, without dilation or hypertrophy (GOOD)
