Tackled the winter storm today to spend some time with Ashley at school. She was very surprised to see me. Her art project was painting. The white pieces of paper had pre-drawn snowflakes with white crayon. This way when they painted the snowflakes where supposed to show thru the paint. I don't believe the kids payed to much attention to the snowflakes they where just happy to paint. They then cleaned up and set their own place settings for snack. I love the idea of the placemats where they are shown where to put everything they need to eat. I am going to have make one of these for her at home. Their snack was oreos and a ice cream drink. The drink is made with raspberry sherbet ice cream blended with pink lemonade. Ashley was able to scoop the ice cream blend into a cup and then Spirte was poured in. Ashley then stirred it and was then able to drink it with a straw. She seemed to really like it. And she was very happy that it is pink. This is something I will have to try at home. The school day ended with playtime. I was able to take some pictures of her classroom as well.
