What a wonderful day for the kids. They where ready for their halloween parties at school and trick or treating later. Ashley started the day off in her halloween outfit and the boys both wore halloween shirts! They brought their costumes to school for the halloween parade! And tricking or treating later went well. They all came home with a lot of candy. The weather was perfect.
Ashley...
Ashley was "Olivia" for Halloween. She was able to spend time in both of her classes today to celebrate. She was able to lead me down the hallways to her calendar time with her second class with out any help. She did well and helped count and even answered a number question correctly. Back in her special needs class it was time to change into their costumes for the parade. Ashley did not take a liking to Michaels werewolf costume and would not stand by him during pictures. I thought it was very interesting to see Ashley with Robert and Michael. She treated then like she does her brothers. She was hiding behind Robert and then telling him to run. When it was story time Michael and Robert sat on the couch and then waited and made room in between them for Ashley to sit down. Ashley's class led the way for the halloween parade. She went back to the special needs classroom and painted pumpkins. Ashley led back to her second class for her halloween party! She seemed to enjoy the interaction with these students as well but could not tell me any of their names. She did not want to go home and we waited until the last possible minute to go back to her special needs classroom and change to go home. She was the only one in her costume for the party!
Kyle...
Kyle was an army man. If we would of been able to think the costume out a little sooner we would of added some seabee patches and name tags on it. But I believe that he should be able to wear it next year so we will added them before then. Kyle seemed to having a frustrating day. He was not enjoying his party as much as her normally does. He was very upset when his Dad left yesterday so he was not fully into the day. But he also did not like the game that they where playing. They had to lift pumpkin foam shapes with straws by sucking into a witches brewing bowl and Kyle could not just do it. It did not seem very fun or interesting to me either. He did seem to like playing a Bozo like bucket game.
Tyler....
Tyler was an e-rayed skeleton! This was a costume that I bought from Target last year after Halloween. At least one of the three picked a costume! Tyler enjoyed his party. They decorated a cookie with icing and candy body parts. Tyler only wanted to ice his cookie he wanted to save the candy for later. They played a game where there are 6 bags which hold items like eyeballs, bones, and brains. Then you had to guess what was inside the bag. Tyler guess all but one correctly.
