Ashley's Haircut

     Ashley has been asking for a haircut so we made the time to get one today.  I was a little hesitant to go short due to dance class and upcoming holidays.  So hopefully the 2 inches we cut off will be ok.  We are going to try bangs again as well.  I really like bangs on Ashley but we have the problem of them staying down.  Ashley also does not like any thing in her face.  She did really well with the haircut!

Santa Arrives!

     Santa arrived at the Peru mall.  He came with his sleigh which was pulled by a pack of huskies.  We did not see Santa arrive but we where able to attend Christmas Village.  The kids colored ornaments, used stickers to make a postcards, had a snack, read to by Mrs. Claus, given Reindeer food, watched a dance performance, and where able to take pictures and pet the huskies.  It was a fun event for the kids and we stayed the entire two hours.  The kids also visited Santa and let him know all of the expensive items that they where wanting for christmas.  All in all it was a great time.  Hopefully they do this again next year, but we will have to come earlier to catch Santa in the sleigh.  I also hope that they wait until after Thanksgiving next year.  I hate rushing to Christmas and completely disregarding Thanksgiving.

     Ashley went to Daisy's tonight and received a patch!  Ashley earned the Promise Center!  It is the patch to signify that Ashley knows The Girl Scout Promise.  Ashley does try to say it but at this time cannot say all of the words.  And she does not have it memorized.  But we will continue to work on it. Now to put it on :)

     Not a good day for any of us.  The boys got up way to early and none of them where picture ready. I am glad it was not picture day at school.  Below are their school pictures for this year.  They did really well.  I am a little upset about the ghost sticker on Ashley's outfit.  Ashley's outfit was bought last year before Christmas!  We have waited so long to wear it!  It is a very cute Gymboree, which I probably still paid to much for. At least this is one outfit of her many in which I have a picture off!  Ashley is feeling better today but no fully over it.  She has Daisy's today!

     Ashley did not want to go to school this morning.  She said she was tired and tried to hide under her blankets, but we where able to find her and get her ready for the bus.  She even tired fake coughs!  Once outside she was wanted to go and found her bike.  She stayed at school all day.  She still has a little cold but nothing that is going to keep her down.  As far as the boys, I believe they need to start brushing their hair in the morning. But they always say they do.  They must like the bed head look.  

     Ashley has acquired a habit from her daddy.  She likes to chew on plastic.  When she was younger she was encouraged to chew on therapy chew toys but now she has continued.  Now on her table has become the perfect place, for her, to put her shoe boxes of straws.  This way she can sit and chew on one.  I am hoping one day soon she will get over this.  

     I bought Coal a winter jacket and had today.  At this time he is not fond of it, but I am sure he will change once it is really cold outside.  Was able to get a couple of pictures of him in it.  I just can't seem to take a picture of him with out his tongue out!
