Tyler First Day Back To Basketball

     Basketball season has started.  This is Tyler's first day.  He needs to slow down and pay a little more attention to directions.  But at least he is having fun and was able to spend some time with his friends.  He would not tell you but his girlfriend (LOL) is also in the basketball group.  He told me that he already dumped her (LOL again).  We will see if they rekindle there romance?

     Ashley is back to Dance class and we are happy to be back.  Between Christmas break and her being sick her last class was December 12!  She was very excited to go.  We decided to dress a little warmer for the drive and pulled out a Dora outfit.  It fit her well and may become a new addition to her Dance appeal!  She is attempting to show off her backpack!

Home Depot Workshop

     Today's event was the Home Depot Workshop.  Today we built banks.  They turned out really cute.  We did not stay and paint them their.  Instead will will be painting them at home tomorrow.  I don't like taking the projects home in the truck while wet.  Ashley was feeling ok this morning but as the day progressed she became increasing tired.  She wanted to go to bed around 4:30 and she slept till about 7:30!  Something tells me it may be a late night.  I spent the day watching the show "Dexter" and the boys where able to enjoy their day outside with their friends.  It would of been a perfect day if only Ashley was feeling better.  We did have to miss Ashley's Daisy Cookie Rally at the Y :(  But I need to just make sure that she gets over this!  Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

What's for Dinner?

     I have been slacking at dinner time lately and decided I really should get back into cooking.  My kids are very picky eaters and all the Ashley has wanted to eat lately (other then her pediasure in her num num bag) is strawberry jelly!  My frustration with my kids diets has just grown a little.  So I decided, a quick and easy dinner, and something for the kids to help make, was breakfast for dinner.  Personally I am not really a huge fan of eggs and bacon.  On occasion I will have an egg, but only one, with lots of butter.  And as for bacon, I didn't get the love of bacon from my dad, I rather have a BLT.  But the boys love breakfast so they help cook the eggs.  We don't just make regular scrambled we must add our own special flavor (food coloring)!  Tyler choose Green, Kyle choose Blue, and Ashley choose Purple (which she initially thought was pink).  I made bacon and some toast.  The boys eggs turned out well and Ashley gave up during the cooking.  She was all for the stirring.  Her eggs looked pretty in person then what is shown up in the picture.  At the end all the eggs made where gone and so was the bacon (with a little treat to Coal).  Ashley asked for her bowl of jelly and every one was happy.  Now I have a dilemma....Whats for dinner/lunch tomorrow? (LOL)

Ashley's New Patch

     In my attempted to stop procrastinating on things I did reach my goal of putting on Ashley's new Dance patch!  Here are pictures of all of her patch's so far and she will be receiving another one on Saturday.  Hopefully she feels better and is able to participate in the Cookie Rally!  But after Saturday cookie sales will be open for business (hint hint).  

     Ashley stayed home today and we took a trip to go she her doctor.  Ashley has now been diagnosed with Asthma.  A little confused by it all.  But we are following the doctors advice and taking the new medicine (which is partly temporary) and hopefully beat this bug soon.  I am foreseeing Ashley staying home tomorrow again.  

And they are off! Almost!

     Gave Ashley the choice of to go to school or stay home.  Learned from a previous time that it is better to ask her then to tell her.  Only because if she is forced to stay home she just complains about not being in school.  She decided she wanted to go.  Dressed her in a nice warm comfortable outfit (thanks Grandma) and was ready to get on the bus.  She decided five minutes before it arrived that she was to cold and was not going to school.  Ok that is fine with me.  No sooner then the boys leave on their bus she asks where her brothers are!  Then she says "Bus left me.  You drive me?".  So I buckled and drove her to school allowing me to tell her teachers and Nurse that she is a little out of it and may not last the day.  Well she lasted thru lunch and then asked to go home.  She spent the rest of the day with her TV but still asking for the boys.

     I could tell Ashley was a little under today.  So we had a very lazy day.  The boys played downstairs and Ashley stayed upstairs.  The kids have school tomorrow but possibly not Ashley.
