To say that sometimes my kids are lucky is just to true. We where picked by "Shop with the Cops" and my kids where allowed to go on a shopping spree at Walmart. Ashley was herself in true form and bought everything for herself and the boys I am very proud of. They shopped for Christmas presents for their family more then anything. Plus they bought a two toys to donate! I have no clue whom submitted our family for this truely wonderful experience. After all of the shopping was complete we had lunch with three Oglesby police officers and then went back to the stationed and wrapped the gifts. Then the fun began at home....they had to wait until Christmas to open them! Nothing like fully wrapped gifts under the tree. Thank you to whom ever thought of our family!
Dec 21, 2012
It is time for Fun Friday and Christmas parties at school. Made sure the
kids attempted to wear red and green. For some reason I just did not have
the typical Walmart bought Christmas shirts I normally have for them. Just
was not on the ball this year and it has just been to busy. Grandma, Papa,
and Maggie are here for the holiday and helped completing the Christmas
gifts for the teachers and Ashley's aids. Now the Christmas Break begins...
Dec 20, 2012 PJ day for Ashley. They are having a cozy movie day. She is feeling better and had a doctor's visit today! Lucky Ashley does not have any thing of concern. It was just a little cold. But it did take almost a week to get her seen and it was not even by her primary care doctor. I seem to have lots of problems with PCM's. The only one that I liked moved to CA. Being in CA would be so much easier.
Dec 18, 2012 Ashley knows how to get her way, especially when she is not feeling well.
She runs the house when she is sick.We are hopeful to be able to go to
school tomorrow. She loves school!
Time for Ashley's big Christmas concert. She did so well! She sang with the first graders and it seemed that she knew some of the words. It was great and Ashley looked great. I love this dress. This is our second night of concerts in the string of three. Tomorrow is the boys concert but it nice to get out.
Time for Tyler's Band concert. He started playing the Baritone. And what I have heard from his band teacher he is not that bad. To me, all of the notes still sound the same! I am hoping that he keeps up with this and progresses! Tyler had a little bit of problems during the concert. Tyler and his partner dropped their music sheets and basically missed the entire last song. And during the first he had a late start. Tyler attempted to let his band teacher know but it was just to late. A little lesson learned for the next concert. We have his pants and shirts hung and ready for the next concert!
After the party we went to the Dance. This is the last Dance recital day of Ashley for this year, and yet again she did great. I had to improvise with her hair and did two buns instead of one, which I LOVED! Not sure if she will be in dance next year, she is VERY hard to get her moving to get ready for dance. I am hoping she grows out of this...I LOVE having a little dancer!
We are off this morning to the Illinois Valley Detachment 78 Marine Corps League Kids Christmas Party. We attended this event last year as well. It did not disappoint this year! Unfortunately we where unable to stay for to long. Ashley last dance recital day was today as well. So it became a very busy day. And before we did anything I took the boys out for haircuts! This was a great event for the kids. Just an early Christmas for them with presents. They have been very lucky this year and will have at least two Christmas events in which they received gifts. But unfortunately what we really want (Daddy home for good) is not going to happen any time soon, if ever! But as for today for the kids they are happy with there gifts.
Now it is time for the real thing. She is the fourth performance and dancing to Marshmallow World. Which I also believe is the same song she performed to two years ago! It is time for the real performance! Just the boys and I watching Ashley and she did wonderful. She is a inspiring little dancer and just an over all wonder child. She is the princess of our family! The boys where great. We did not stay for the final bow. It just becomes a long day with attempting to fit every thing in. Tomorrow is going to be an even busier day but Super Mom will fit it all in!
