Shake Your Groove Thing

April 4, 2012

This was a great day for Ashley.  The Girl Scouts held a "Shake Your Groove Thing" event, in which the girls did crafts, learned a cheer, and learned a dance.  And before they left they performed for the parents (video's below).  While it was a great day for Ashley, it was not so great for the boys and I.  We had planned to be able to have just a mommy and sons day (except when I would have to go to the church to feed Ashley) but that did not happen.  Due to change of plans or miscommunication, I had to stay at the church with Ashley all day.  The boys where technically not allowed to be at the event, sense it was for Girl Scouts, but I really did not have a choice.  The boys and I had to stay in an adjoining room, while I checked on Ashley every so often.  I was not allowed to leave Ashley alone there as told by the people running the event.  It is against Girl Scout policy due to her medical condition.  Every thing for the event was pre-arranged but one persons change threw all of the pre-arranged plans away and I was stuck.  The boys did good for the most part but I understood why they where not happy, nothing like being stuck in a room for 6 hours with not much to do.  But we made it thru and I have learned a lesson today and the mistake will not be repeated.  Hoping for a better day tomorrow but may just have to leave the area to clam down a little.  I am pretty upset because of last night and today.  But like I said "Lesson Learned"!
