Ashley's Soccer

     It was a cold morning and was going to be a very busy day.  First was Ashley soccer!  I attempted to put a sweater under her jersey but Ashley was not having it.  She thought it was very weird to put something under her jersey.  She instead wanted to wear her coat.  She apparently likes her coat!  She had a lot of fun and has made some friends on her team.  She was picked to be the tagger by another girl.  Ashley still has issues really remembering any ones name.  But she may just get that from me.  I have a hard time remembering some ones name unless I really know that person.

     In my quest to fit in I decided to let Tyler go to a birthday party in which Kyle was not invited to.  The party was at Grand Bear Lodge.  My kids love going their and we have not been their sense their Dad came home.  But I really did not want to stay and ride the rides with Ashley and I really was unsure if she was up to it.  And besides I was really uneasy feeling like I had to make an attempt to fit in with these parents, in which I don't believe I do.  In the end Kyle ended up crying as we where attempting to leave and I bought him a bracelet, which is now almost $19.00, and let him stay with the party.  I typically would not let my boys stay at the party at the Grand Bear Lodge with out me but I felt really stuck.  I had to take care of Ashley as well.  Kyle was basically a party crasher!  I did check with the parents and they said it was ok if he stayed.  This is not what I want my kids to believe.  I do want them to be able to be invited to their own friends birthday parties and not be disappointed if they don't make the guest list.  But I understood Kyle's thoughts and he just wanted to be a kid and enjoy some fun and not hear about Ashley's needs or to suck it up because he is almost 10!  It hurt me as much as it hurt him.  And in leaving Kyle and Tyler their I was really torn.  I wanted to be with them to make sure that they where going to be ok, but I have to make myself believe that they are 8 and 9 and they want some time away from me as well.  Ashley began to cry for her brothers in the car.  Jamie suggested that I bring her to the mall so she could have some fun.  So off to the mall we went.  And for a little while she forgot her brothers where not their.  She told me when she was ready to come home with no complaints.

Hats are Back!

     Another cold one!  We broke out the hats and gloves!  The boys got all decked out in football gear!  And Tyler found his special hat.  I hope he does not lose it again!  I am loving Ashley's outfits.  Just so much color!  And bright.  I just bought the sweater yesterday off of a facebook group for $2.00 and we love it!  Always looking for some good deals!  Great pictures today!  

Tutu!

     Ashley received her first custom Tutu from out friend Becky Mertes Johnson.  Contact her if you would like one.  She also has some beautiful halloween ones!  This one only cost $15!  I will have to get more from her.  She also knows of a person that makes beautiful bows and clips!  Ashley walked into her room and saw it and had to put it on right away.  She loves it.  She will be wearing this for Monday's dance class!  If all goes well!  LOVE IT!

     We had to dress warm this morning.  I believe summer is gone.  I keep telling myself if I just continue to cut the grass maybe the warm weather will come back.  It seemed that it was extremely hot or raining all summer.  So I am not ready for any type of cold weather or snow.  I don't want to have to get down the snow blower and put up the lawn mower.  So keeping cutting the grass!  I am starting to cut down some plants that did not do well this year.  The day lilly's just flopped.  I will have to do something about that next year!  I am pulling out all of Ashley colored pants that I got at the end of the year clearance sale at JcPenny's!  Hard to believe that she is wearing 6's!  And the boys are wearing 8's and 10's!

     Ashley is feeling better every day.  This was a quick day at school due to early dismissal at 2 for some reason.  But we where able to come home and relax and do nothing!  And we still say MoNkEyS for pictures in the morning.  We have tired to say something different but Ashley is stuck on MoNkEyS.

Soccer and Daisy's

     What a game!  Kyle had a very ruff day at soccer.  He ran around as a forward and played well.  Then came his turn at being the goalie.  The first goal scored on him went over his head and then the second his team mate kicked in the goal :)  and the third was a penalty score.  The third goal was him standing in the goal with no defenders and the other team kicking it at him.  Kyle caught the ball but hurt his finger while doing so, so his first instinct was to drop the ball which then rolled in for a score.  He sat out for the rest of the quarter with an ice bag on his finger!  None of the goals where his fault but he took it really hard.  We where planning on going right to football practice after the game but received a text that Daisy sign ups where that night!  So instead we went to sign Ashley up for Daisy's! Pretty excited about this myself.  As of now there is no Daisy troop for Oglesby so they are working on what can be done.  Hopefully it all comes together and works out.  A little fun fair was set up for the kids so the boys and Ashley where able to play and win some candy and prizes while I asked a couple of questions and filled out the forms.  I am glad it did not rain and it was a pretty nice day.
